However, shit like this is minor and something you just have to deal with. One time I was serving a guest at a restaurant. They're older people and the lady was telling me how she adopted 2 black kids from Kenya or something. She asked me "So what country are you from?. I was like what the fuck? Slightly confused and then it just hit me some people really just will never understand. Racist comment but she honestly had no clue. You gotta let that kind of stuff go.
