They might have considered me equals from the start like I did for them. I don't know and that doesn't matter at this point. What does matter is that you can't assume what holds true for those people holds true for all. What if I had a pocket knife and gave it to the girl needing it. Then I was fired for bringing something as simple as a pocket knife to work because they considered it a weapon and I didn't get a second chance. That sounds like a possibility to me.
