Well, at the beginning she was very bratty and naive, making her extremely unlikeable. Of course, at the end of Season 1, she got a major wake-up call, which persisted pretty much through the entire series so far. It's almost like the writers put her in the story for no other reason than to portray the victim, which got really old fast.
