I loved Colors! It's just that the whole "2d vs 3d" contrast doesn't seem that sharp when the 3d levels are 70% in 2d already. Just the impression I got.
It's like the difference between Mario 64/Sunshine and the Mario Galaxy games. The Galaxy games are more 2-D/3-D hybrid than Mario 64/Sunshine.
Besides, Classic and Modern Sonic still play a lot differently all the same.
