Federer called Nadal late last night, crying his eyes out talking about his "legacy" and how Nadal was ruining it.
He said, "If Djokovic doesn't make the finals, I would really appreciate it if you could let me win so that our 'rivalry' won't be so one sided. You have nothing to prove against me or Isner. I need this."
Nadal said nothing but Federer swears he heard the sound of a single tear rolling down Nadal's cheek as he hung up the phone.
This sounds legit.
