For some reason big companies like Nintendo, Sega, Namco, and Capcom never want to do that.


Someone once told me that it's precisely because they're smaller companies that they can afford to put stock into niche games.

I never understood it myself. Seems to me that bigger companies are less inclined to work with games that won't sell like their biggest games. And even then, Capcom shot themselves in the foot with UMvC3, which actually sold pretty poorly. (I'm guessing the PR nightmare preceding it is to blame) It just seems like Capcom wants more to do with fighting games and making Call of Resident: Modern Evil than trying to sell anything else.

I understand that the DS was at the end of its lifespan, but is there seriously no other way to bring it over? It just sounds like an excuse to me.
