#1:

679 of the most popular fictional characters in the world have gathered together to let Board 8 decide who among them is the Most Excellent! The characters stem from all corners of the media world including; Films, TV Shows, Cartoons, Anime, Disney, Videogames, and Literature.

Only 86 of the best remain! The competition has branched out into singles combat. Only one rule applies. Vote for who you like more of the two competitors!

The setup for the round is a little more complicated. Each character will have matches until they have either three losses or three wins. The characters with three wins will move on to the next round and the three loss characters will be eliminated. This means each character will either have a minimum of three matches or a maximum of five. Once the win or loss column reaches three, the fate of that character will be decided. By the end of the round 43 characters will be left.

Characters will be assigned sparring partners based on their overall record in the tournament so far. To see these rankings, please visit the results and discussion topic. The strongest will fight the weakest. Once the first round is done, alike records will compete against each other. In the case of an odd number within a certain record, that odd character out will go against the next closest record to its own. No character will battle same character twice in this round at any point unless it comes down to the final match. No character will have a second match until all characters have had their first.

There will be 15 matches every day. This round should last around 12 days. A user has the right to abstain a vote from any individual battle as he/she sees fit. The records of the contestants will be posted in all matches following the first round. Characters are assigned matches based on their scores from ALL previous rounds. Voting will last for 24 hours. There will be no vote changing allowed. No rallying or alt voting will be allowed either.
