Professor Layton's plots must be enjoyed like a Michael Bay movie.

Haha, this is an excellent way of putting it. Still, even in a series known for its bizarre plot lines, PL3 manages to surpass the others in craziness in a way that even Gary Busey admires.

As far as the plot twists go,
Layton 2 > Layton 1 > Layton 3

Hrmmm...I'd say 1>2>3. 1 and 2 were pretty close though for me.

I can't hear you over London being destroyed by terrorists save the day Layton!

*SPOILERS FOR PL 3 SPOILERS FOR PL3*

Remember how Layton was all, "Time machine, that is totally implausible!"

There real solution is that this in an elevator!

...to a giant underground city!

...built to look exactly like London!

...and this guy HAS A GIANT ROBOT THAT SCIENTISTS HAVE BEEN BUILDING!

And then Luke was like, "This **** is ridiculous, a time machine would have actually made more sense."

And then Professor Layton took off his hat and pooped in it?

That is the only way the game should have ended after Layton proposed his theory. And the strangest thing is that the terrorist guy destroys like a quarter of the city, kills I don't know how many people, and at the end everyone is mad at the Prime Minister for making him sad when he was a kid.
