While SMuffin phrased it in the most smug, confrontational, and asininely stupid way possible, he actually does have a point here. Ron Paul is essentially a Libertarian. There is no way to think someone like him would support a bill like this even if it weren't riddled with the flaws that are making tons of people and actual corporations vocally oppose this.

Basically, this seems like a moment of stupidity fueled more by false entitlement and superiority than an actual lack of intelligence. You know, like most people who are stupid on the Internet.


This. As I said, everyone who knows anything about Ron Paul, whether you agree with him or not, should come to the logical conclusion that this is the sort of thing he would oppose. Ron Paul votes no on pretty much everything anyway. Why should *I* have to spend the time researching and providing a source for something that any reasonable person would easily assume to be true. It's the person making the controversial claim that should provide a source.

If I claim that the sun is really hot, *I* don't need to provide a source for that. The person who shows up and then says "NO IT ISN'T" probably does, though.
