The best multiplayer experience I've ever had was on the Gamecube.
Pac Man VS.
Now this game isn't the easiest to set up. You need 3 Gamecube controllers (Wavebird preferred) and a Gameboy Advance + GBA to GC link so you can use it as a controller. However, the sheer joy and super competitive experience of three ghosts teaming up to take out Pac Man...only to have one ghost betray to grab a fruit for increased vision or decide that they are the one who will get the kill to become Pac Man the next turn is legendary.
