Halo was fantastic and I loved Halo 1 parties.
But that's like the only thing on original Xbox.
That means you missed out on the fun of Fusion Frenzy. Not to mention the good multiplatform titles like Star Wars battlefront, Ultimate Alliance, Timesplitters, Brute Force, etc.
