WWE Superstars
October Week 1, 2011

Pre-show: Young d. Curtis (53, great chemistry); Usos d. Reks/Hawkins (48)

-Match: O'Neil and Watson v. JTG and Primo
JTG keeps yelling at Primo until he has enough and slaps him. Meanwhile, the faces win.
Rating: 59
Primo's face turn was a success!

-Primo is tired of being in other people's shadows, and wants to make a name for himself on his own merits. JTG calls him a loser.
Rating: 50

-Match: McIntyre d. Jackson
Rating: 66

-Tyson Kidd is not going to be shuffled aside. He may not have a match, he may not have a partner, but he is not going away.
Rating: 56

-Match: Bryan v. Slater
Nice long match, with Bryan getting the eventual win.
Rating; 67
Match too long for midcarders. I stuck the Spanish announcers on here, and apparently they have awesome chemistry.

-Bryan reminds us that he IS kinda Mr. MitB and the best in the world and all. He's hit a rough patch, but he's got time to battle out of it before he challenges for the title at Wrestlemania, and he WILL battle out of it because he's the best wrestler in the world.
Rating: 76

Overall: 64

From the Bookerman:
-The nice thing about B-shows like Superstars is that you can make them as sucky as you want and it won't hurt you any. I plan to take advantage of that and get my undercard some exposure. It's the only chance some of these guys will have.
-This is how Superstars will generally work- random cross-brand throwaway matches with little storyline. Just wrestling. In the near future, I'm turning it into NXT, but for now it's just the reject corner.
-Which will be a bit awkward, actually. Our Product settings require 15 minutes for ME matches, but the crowd didn't enjoy seeing 16 minutes of Bryan/Slater because they're only midcard. Might have to bring in some bigger names for the ME, then.
-...oh lawd I forgot how much the steroids thing sucks for WWE

NEWSWIRE

-New Japan held their big Golden Eagle Battle last night. Tanahashi d. Nakamura to retain his IWGP title to cap off a solid card otherwise full of title changes. Liger and Kanemoto won the tag belts in their debut match, Yoshihashi and Yujiro won the Jr. Heavyweight tag titles, and Riki Choshu brought home MVP's IC title.

-Impact got a 71 rating. The card had some stinkers, but Anderson/Styles in the main event went a long way towards saving the show.

-TNA has released Al Snow.

-Mike Kehner has been cut from both DGUSA and EVOLVE.

-NJPW joined in the fun, sacking Marty Asami.

-Inoki Genome Federation put on a very promising show to kick off their Revenge Tour. Although nobody is quite sure why Jerome Le Banner is calling his belt the Super Luxurious 200 Million Yen Title, he successfully defended it against Minoru.

-We caught up with Vince McMahon today to ascertain his goals for the company going forward. (Read: We got assigned some Owner Goals, which will restrict what we're able to do if we don't wanna get in trouble >_>) He promised that WWE would weather the recession without going into debt and remain the premier wrestling federation in the world. He also expressed an interest in finding unknown young talent, rather than raiding major competitors. He's very specific about what he wants from the indies, however- he maintains that WWE is no place for "flippy spot monkeys" or criminals.
