I mean, obviously there's a lot more to the game than lore, but having a bit of context would be nice. It's like they've gone "oh crap, we've run out of hanging plot threads... Pandas!".
Except... there isn't. There's still the Emerald Dream and Burning Legion home world; or at least dealing with the Burning Legion's leaders once and for all in general.
Probably saving that for the very last expansion, for good reason.
