FF12 would be an incredible game without Vaan and Penelo. Ashe is one of my favourite leads in the series and the others are all great as well. If the game was just as long with more development on the remaining characters, it could have been a top-tier game for me. I loved the battle system, and it's just a shame that the narrative didn't do much for me.
Oh come on, Vaan and Penelo aren't that bad. At the worst, you might say they are "inoffensively minor". They're not annoying.
I find Penelo to be cute.
