PS2? or do you mean PS1 RE2? PS1 games don't look all that different due to the really crappy res but playing Ps2 games on HDTV is just wrong. Some games have HD resistance but most look like utter turd.
Also it might be worth getting Component cable...even though about 2 games use it, it does help upscale the res. Otherwise you're playing under a blurry field.
PS1 Resident Evil 2 on a Playstation 2 Hooked up to a HDTV with regular cables. When I bought the PS2 i didn't even know what component cables were and I don't even think they were on the market .
