The thing about Lara is that she actually gets undersold in some ways. Like...when people reference her it's usually about boobs, and there's actually a lot more to the character than that. She's an intelligent, self-sufficient, strong-willed, female main-character. These are exceptionally rare in a female videogame character.
So...people do sell her short when they say stuff like "Lara exists for one reason only".
This, and that's why Uglyface is dead wrong. Even if you WERE responding to the wrong thing.
Legend/Underworld/Anniversary and I presume the new 2012 game show Lara Croft to be far more than that.
