It's the Dexter writers
Between the decent-but-not-greatness of seasons 2 and 3, the badness of 5, and all the ridiculous LaGuerta/Angel subplots they've done I don't have a whole lot of faith in them to do anything right but Dexter characterization (which they always seem to have a good handle on).
