No, I agree. The game really drops the ball in the postgame stuff. It's cool that's such a large area is opened up, but there's barely anyting interesting to do in them. There are some areas, like the Challenge Cave and the Undella Bay ruins that have no real purpose whatsoever than to waste time. And the sages sidequest just has you find them and get a TM. That's it. It really feels like there was a lot of unfinished stuff in that part of the game, begging for a third version to flesh it out.
