Yeah he was one of my favorites, but apparently they snubbed him since Japan hates him or something, but Hiei was definitely better in the fourth season just because we learned more about his past and stuff.
Here's how I would rank the four main characters:
Kurama>Kuwabara>Yusuke>Hiei
But I liked all of them, however.
Hiei was always my favorite. Kuwabara is cool, but unfortunately I have to rank him last.
Hiei > Yusuke > Kurama > Kuwabara.
Kuwabara is easily the manliest of the bunch, but the other three are just way more badass, which is more important to me.
