AGE episode 2 thoughts:
Very UC-esque. In fact, it reminded me very much of the second episode of 0079, where all the Civilians were evacuated to White Base.
Also, I wasn't expecting the commander of the colony to die so early :(
I don't think he's in the OP, so that tipped me off.
I'm also getting a 0079 vibe from it. I think the white base tossed out the gundam's beam rifle in the original as well, though I may be wrong.
Overall, I'm kinda liking AGE. The characters are good, the plot's set up a nice foundation and has a lot of breathing room, and the mech designs, as well as the AGE-system 3D printer, are all solid.
I just don't like how it started off all 'I'm orphaned, so I'm going to be the systems engineer to the most advanced war machine humanity has ever seen'. But I guess that's just because I am an engineer. I certainly know why they do it, but it still irks me.
Either way I'm HYPED for ep 3.
