Anyways, I voted for "No, I don't have the money to get one right now" as I do not expect to buy one before the end of this year, although I will pick up a 3DS eventually. I'll wait for a price drop first, which is also good because the 3DS will have a much better game library by the time there is a price drop.

It's probably going to take longer than a year before a remodel is released. I looked up data on all of the DS releases, and found this:

That's about a 1 1/2 year gap between the original DS and DS Lite. So I won't count on a remodeled 3DS until late 2012 or sometime in 2013.

The gimmick isn't as bad as motion control though. At least you can turn off the 3D part if you want to avoid the headaches. With motion control, there were some games where it was required, but those games weren't going to be popular on GameFAQs in the first place.
Maybe a few years down the line when over 50% of this site owns a 3DS, there should be a poll about if you have had headaches from the 3D capability.
