Wasn't planning to get a 3DS(at all), but parents got me one for my birthday. Really nice of them. I'd advise to wait for the inevitable redesign, but to be honest I'm pretty impressed with the 3D. It's a gimmick, make no mistake. But it's a really nice gimmick. I had tested the 3DS on a store and thought the 3D was lame as hell, but after actually having time to get used to one, it's a pretty damn fun thing to play. The 3D is great.
It's just nowhere near worth the current price.
