It was a "new big thing" fad that caught on in the States a year ago. The UK claims all rights to it's creation years ago.
Now you have the UK listeners with the elitist attitude that "this isn't true dubstep", the American artists infusing it into their songs because it's the new fad in the mainstream (Sup, Brittany) and every wannabe net DJ making a dubstep mix. Seriously, Soundcloud is a cluster**** of this stuff.
Most of it is annoying as all hell, some of it is good and the "dances" people post on youtube for it are just hilarious.
