No, square can't have it both ways like that. They cant be like "lol we dont care about gamers we want more money" one minute and then put out a game that is well liked by a much smaller fan base, that would make less money the next.

The original staff behind Chrono Trigger is like, completely gone. Whereas Square only published TWEWY. How do you not see the difference.
What about Parasite Eve? its hiatus was basically the same amount of time as the chrono series, and it has a new game, that can't even match CTDS's numbers. Also, I'm almost certain that at least a good portion of the supervisory staff that worked on Chrono Trigger is still around, not like it matters because I mean it's not like Chrono Cross had the same staff either.
