Hating an actor's performances and the actions of a character they play because they're a jerk in real life is silly.

I agree with you. I hate his performance because he's acting like a dick just like he does in real life. That, and he's just a terrible character in this movie, just like the last.

The plot didn't make sense. I mean the main drive did, I guess. Decepticons wanted to enslave humanity, fine, that's a decent motivation. What about Sentinel Prime though, his betrayal was stupid. I understand why he did it, but what was the point of waiting that long to reveal his turn? Maybe I missed it, I know he needed the pillars from the humans, but he didn't even have them at that point, he went back to the base and just started destroying s*** until he got what he wanted. If that's all his ploy amounted to, why didn't he just do that earlier and save us a half hour or so?

Then after that, there should be a sense of impending doom, yet no one seems to be worried at all. Then they decide to send the Autobots away... What? Why? Because they want Earth to be their own? Okay, you send the Autobots away, and the Earth sure as hell won't be your own, because Decepticons are supposedly TAKING OVER RIGHT THE F*** NOW. And you're sending away the only weapons you have against them. They don't stand a change against giant robots by themselves, they should know that by now, yet they still act stupid and nonsensical just like every character in a Michael Bay movie does.

I could go on, but I'm not going to. I feel like this has already been a major waste of my time. I'm not saying the story was worse than the second movie's story, there were some parts to this one that were at least somewhat good, like Sam watching the space ship blow up in the distance. That was about the only time anyone in the movie realized their world was about to drastically change. Though I knew of course that it would amount to nothing, everyone knew the Autobots weren't really gone. Ultimately though, the story was still stupid as f*** and had no business being the focus of the movie over the action and explosions.
