You could already do this with the PSP / PS3 through Remote Play, though it wasn't as idealized as it could have been. You can transfer progress from a PS3/PSN game from the console to the Vita, continue on it, and transfer back to the console to play on your TV. It's doing some nice stuff.
You can really do this with like... FFXIII or something?
