This is what tends to happen when the cast splits up for years and then tries to kick things back up again. This is why I'm kind of hoping the Arrested Development movie never happens.

It's been a long time, and all things considered, the show is doing alright. It's not going to strike gold consistently (and even if it did, you'd still insist it used to be better) but it's been improving bit by bit. Even episodes that I felt were weak later in the season felt more organic than some of the episodes that kicked it off.
Though I'll admit that this episode's subplot was half-assed to an insulting degree.
