Had to shuffle a couple of release orders around but if you compare popularity/reception the franchises have really been quite similar.

Toy Story = Super Mario Bros.
A Bug's Life = Super Mario Bros. 2 (US)
Toy Story 2 = Super Mario Bros. 3
Monsters Inc. = Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Finding Nemo = Super Mario World
The Incredibles = Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Cars = Super Mario Sunshine
Ratatouille = Super Mario 64
Wall-E = Super Mario Galaxy
Up = Super Mario Galaxy 2
Toy Story 3 = New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Cars 2 = Mario Is Missing
