I can't speak for any other season, but BB12's edits were pretty faithful to the actual personalities.
BB11 was pretty bad when it came to Jeff and Jordan. Once they started getting power, it really went to their heads and their personalities turned a bit ugly. But... since they were CBS's golden couple, none of that negativity made it to the show.
