I'd get a second opinion. That doctor sounds like he wants your money.
Yeah, and he already got it (for the test).
But it doesn't seem like this doctor will profit off these discoveries unless he's pushing for allergy shots or something.
If all he's doing is saying "Now, don't eat shrimp" then I don't think you need to suspect ulterior motives.
