Street Fighter II lost?

tell me why in the god damned hell you people voted for SONIC THE PIECE OF BAT **** HEDGEHOG OVER STREET FIGHTER II. Seriously, I've been here from the start. From the ****ing START. I've seen every result except for two (2):

I have seen a yellow goddamned Hello Kitty rat thing defeat quality opponents, and I've seen Jill fall to Peach (I was pathetically brainwashed enough to be slightly pulling for PEACH in that match, a piece of guilt I will carry to my grave), but this is the worst. The absolute worst. I don't give a flying piece of gorilla stool WHAT your excuse is.

Sonic stopped being cool when BART GODDAMNED SIMPSON stopped being cool! Give it up. Just give it up and come to your senses. How the hell can this blue furry bastard defeat Ken and Ryu? Defeat some of the most iconic characters in gaming history?
How does he defeat that theme?
You know what, I don't know. I don't know how or why. I don't know if this is the worst case of Nintendo hivemind syndrome ever, if everyone is just playing a cruel joke on me, or what. All I know is, like the guilt I will forever be haunted by when I rooted for Peach over Jill, you will all carry this to your graves.
Shame on each and every one of you.
