Y'see, this is why game writing isn't taken seriously enough.
People are so desperate for anything that they say anything with the slightest hint of complexity is some amazing masterpiece of storytelling. If Deadly Preminition's story is the best we can do, stop the medium, I want to get off!
Note: I am not saying there are no truly great stories in video games, there are. Just that Deadly Preminition is not a good example, at least when seen unironically.
