Agree with the first part, disagree with the second. DK sounded awesome until I played it, at which point I realized it was just an RTS where you were expected to be on the defense at all times and you were treated as the "bad guy" for story and aesthetic purposes only. DK failed me the same way the Deception series did (though I only played 2 and 3 so maybe 1 is different) - I don't feel like some awesome overlord that heroes have to beat, I feel like I'm playing a hero character that simply has to rely on defense.
Dear god, someone needs to make a game where I can feel like I'm the DM/GM from hell that makes everyone else's lives miserable.
