Decent lineup this time around. Bionic Commando was pretty tough and Life Force -- the other Konami Code game -- was brutal. RC Pro Am was great and Blaster Master was pretty huge for a 1988 NES game.
I always loved that picture of Spencer on the top left with the radio and the.. well, whatever that is in his left hand. Classic. The rest of the issue has Spencer as this weird blonde guy that looks like a crappy superhero. Whoops.
Life Force was my shmup of choice on the NES. I loved it as a kid and got really good at it through sheer repetition. I tried to play it a few years back, though, and it just murders me. This game is hard and really unforgiving. I can't get into it anymore.
Um. I always disliked Simon's Quest, so the best thing about this stuff for me is the ridiculous art.
