the vita'll do fine. it's not like the PSP was a failure now - the damn thing has nearly 70 million sold last i checked. japan loves portable gaming. there's plenty of room for multiple people there doing well (hell, the consoles have all 3 being legitimate successes). but in terms of being No. 1, it's pretty much just nintendo there. they're on top of it and know what they're doing. if they wanted to close their eyes and cover their ears the price drop wouldn't have even happened in the first place, nor would the 20 games bonus deal, which is just plain a nice PR move.
