Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, Deus Ex, Dragon Age, hell, Morrowind.
Mind you, I don't feel really comfortable judging this thing until it comes out, so take what I say here with a grain of salt. I wasn't impressed with the demo (it doesn't help that Todd Howard is a cynical bastard and half of what we saw was very likely scripted,) the game itself may actually be better than it sounds.

Have we even seen any dialogue in the game outside of the few sentences uttered in that small village? Hardly a fair criticism. And what do you mean by gameplay? Combat? Quests? Ongoing dragon fights? Skill progression?
First part is more than fair; I actually kinda wish they'd focused a bit more on talking to NPCs during the demo so I could get a better feel for it. I dunno, the crowd made it impossible to hear anything.
Anyway, it all felt very milquetoast, very "seen this." It's probably functional enough, I guess. It felt like I was watching a prettier Oblivion, complete with Gamebryo's stilted animation.
