Honorable mentions to the third season for being fairly consistently entertaining aside from the Lucius episodes which were abyssmal and also having the full cast (sans Ford, augh) together still... and the fourth season for having a fairly exciting arc to it and being generally consistent as well.

Getting rid of Weir is actually what prompted me to stop considering myself a real 'fan' of the show though. I continued watching because the wit was enough to spark my relative interest but I really, really liked Weir -- mainly because Torri Higginson's acting sold her for me and I love to see women in positions of decent authority in television. It burned me badly.
