Time for today's update:

#50 Stargate Atlantis (2004-2009)
Sci-fi
Mega Mana's Ranking: Not Ranked (yet?)

The first spinoff of Stargate SG-1, this show had a lot of similarities in style and tone to the original. A good cast of characters and a very good villain race really helped it out as well. Rodney was an awesome character, though he got a bit over the top as the series went on, and the rest of the tech crew (and Beckett) often stole the show. Ronon was actually awesome though not quite as cool as Teal'c. The whole main team was very good, though I was sad when Ford left the show.

Atlantis just couldn't ever get the kind of great episodes that SG-1 pulled off, and the larger cast just never had the amazing chemstry of the SG-1 crew. It also had a tendency for some down right silly plotlines. Overall it was a very good and enjoyable show, but it just couldn't become great and I never got as into it as I would have expected.

Oh, and the show had Jewel Staite for awhile, which is always a plus.

#49 Dark Angel (2000-2002)
Sci-fi, Action
Mega Mana's Ranking: Not Ranked

Speaking of shows that get a boost for an attractive actress. Dark Angel stared the gorgeous Jessica Alba as a genetically altered runaway tryign to live her life and eventually take down the people that made her. This show had very good action and also some very good comedy, helped by the comedic abilities of cast members like Alba, NCIS' Michael Weatherly, and Jensen Ackles.

An attractive and skilled cast, good actions scenes, good dialogue, interesting plotlines. What's not to love?

#48 Full metal Panic! (2002, 2003, 2005)
Anime
Mega Mana's Ranking: Not Ranked

Yes I am counting Fumoffu and The Second Raid all in one. Its the same show but with a different name for each season (I hate when animes do this). Though I suppose I probably shouldn't include Fumoffu, but its my list so whatever.

I'm not typically one for mech shows, but FMP! properly puts the focus on the characters and the plot with the Mechs being just another weapon. That's the way I like it. This is another show with a good mix of action and comedy (If you haven't noticed, that is a big deal for me). Really though this show is carried by three characters, the hilarious playboy Kurz Weber, the rough, tough, and often crude Melissa Mao,
and the pure soldier Sosuke Sagara. Mostly this show is carried by Sosuke, who is a truly great character and a fun twist on the normal Shonen protagonist.
