Chapter 4 continued
Now to keep sending people into their positions while we wait for the lengthy scene of Mahnya and her squad getting owned to finish.
I decide that Dew will collect the villages after I have him give Claude all his money. Seems like the best way to make sure I can get it distributed to whoever I want without having to waste time having them visit the villages themselves. Still killing time waiting on the battle to end so I can advance, one of Mahnya's squad manages to dodge both shots from one of the Beige Ritter dudes, kind of funny. Then their luck runs out and they start eating the massacre we all knew was coming.
Finally it's time to do something! Not very much though, some standard rescuing of the civilians, some slaughter, Levin heading home to get Holsety, the dudes up north preparing to smack Pamela and her crew around. Nothing too exciting ever happens down here until you get to Lamia's squad, they're actually capable of posing a threat. The civilian rescuing does lead to something weird though. Sylvia dances some people while standing next to one and somehow she teleports on top of it when she's done, not gaining a level and making the civilian vanish. Odd little glitch, and after I tried again it stopped happening. And then Tiltyu and Azel fall in love so I'm happy and almost done all my pairings.
Lex and Brigid lure in a couple of enemies from Lamia's group, then I take advantage of Sylvia being awesome (can you imagine if Ninian/Nils or Tethys or Elphin/Lalum had 4-way refreshing?) to completely wipe out the group. Sigurd, Lex and Lachesis go onward with Claude and Sylvia trailing as support and they make short work of the final castle of the map. All in all not a particularly tough chapter, and one that gets slowed down by the forests a lot, but I still find it fairly fun, especially because the music is great.
Up next will be chapter 5, AKA the final chapter of the first generation.
