Chapter 24

Hey look, MORE FOG. I'm getting really fed up with this. Oh yeah, I'm at Lloyd's version, obviously.

The biggest problem by far here is recruiting Wallace, because he's very bad and can easily get killed long before I can do anything. So I am making an executive decision to deviate from my usual "recruit everyone, no deaths" policy and ignoring him. What's with generals being hard to recruit anyway? In FE3 (book 2) we've got Sheema, who won't join unless you don't kill any of her soldiers (thankfully they don't attack you). In FE4 there's Hannibal, who doesn't join unless you can bypass his army, go to another castle and get his son to march back to talk to him. In FE5 there's Xavier, who doesn't join unless the stars align and at least three deities smile upon you. In FE6 there's Douglas, who has to be kept alive throughout a lengthy and challenging map. Odd little tradition.

So the beginning is a bit of a pain, there's a Purge Bishop nearby and some ballista dudes who can harass you. Once you clean up everything nearby it's just a matter of luring in Lloyd, who starts quite nearby, and finding enough people who can survive a round with him to chip him to death. In this case, Florina, Canas and Hector all chipped in to kill him. Fairly simple chapter once you get the hang of where you can position people safely on turn 1.
