So I may want to play FE4 and possibly 5 now.
So um, what exactly am I looking for? Are they both for the NES? Do they both have English translations? Any... recommendations on finding what I need? PM me maybe >_>

For translation patches. The FE4 one is only missing two minor late-game scenes (and has amusing filler text in their place <_< you can find the proper translation somewhere on the site anyway) and causes the game to crash during the epilogue, the FE5 one doesn't have complete menus, but you can figure it out.
As a warning, FE4 is pretty, uh..."complicated" to play for the first time. It's the one game where a guide is not a bad idea to check up a bit at first, simply because of the weird mechanics it has. At the very least, checking on the various special events and conversations in the game is a great idea because you can miss out on really cool stuff if you don't.

Oh yeah, that's the thing. I'm betting I'm going to barely limp by those and die on chapter 12 from just lack of forces XD
Well I'll probably chronicle my journey in this topic when I start. Won't be til after midnight though prolly.
True, you'll probably manage to finally collapse on some easy chapter because the only useful people you have left are fatigued and Leaf can't handle it all on his own. Imagine if you managed to last long enough to die in a joke map like 14x or 15. Of course, getting past 14 in the first place would be kind of miraculous.
