My personal favorite wrestler right now at the moment is Dolph Ziggler. He's just great at everything he does. One way I can say I can see him finally get over as face is that if Dolph really calls himself "The Show Off" he needs to be act like one in the ring. Let's say laying out his opponent multiple times with his finisher more then a few times then needed to be done once the match is about to be over.
Another way I would be thinking is having a "re-visioning his glory days" face gimmick where "his best friend was a cheerleader" where he brings pom poms to the ring where he gets on the mic and say "This is for my best friend Nicky. Wherever you are this one is for you buddy. I'm trying show the whole world with what I do best. Wrestle."
He shows off with the pom poms in his hands using them as a weapon after the match claiming how "Nicky always wanted to follow in my foot steps" and it leads somewhere later on in his face role that Nicky was in fact really him and he gets more aggressive as he shows no remorse for his opponents in the ring, specially other heels.
