#75:

-The Rock says that if Cena wants to waste his time DESTROYING THE ROCK’S SHOW, he might as well start with the champion! Rock says Sheamus will be taking care of business tonight for him.
Rating: 91

-Match: Orton v. Miz
This might have been a closer match if Orton wasn’t selling the beatdown from before, but Miz gets a commanding win.
Rating: 81

-Miz is celebrating when Taker ports in. Taker says nothing but does the throat cut taunt. Miz backs down a bit, but doesn’t break eye contact or leave the ring. WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT MANIA
Rating: 100

-Match: Sheamus/Show/Ryder v. Cena/Cryme Tyme
TEAM SMACKDOWN get a huge win.
Rating: 75

-Christian rushes the ring after the match and goes straight after Sheamus! He’s got a crazy look in his eyes tonight. Cena’s able to take on Show and Ryder with some help from Cryme Tyme, and the two appear to have formed a temporary understanding. Cena AA’s Ryder through one announce table while Sheamus takes a Killswitch t’rew the other one! The show ends with Christian clutching the WHC and rocking while Cena’s music plays.
Rating: 86
Christian’s Man on a Mission gimmick gets an initial 88.

Post-show: Rock d. Christian (69, poor chem); BENCHCLEARING BRAWL (78)

Overall: 80 SUCCESS lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN

-ME was a huge disappointment, even as Cryme Tyme matches go. Maybe scripting was the wrong choice? But there’s not much Psychology to go around in that set, at least not for an ME-level match. Ah well, I blame Cryme Tyme either way. They’ve really been underwhelming despite the big push.

-Holy crap Chavo is lightning in a bottle right now. MotN with a freakin’ midcarder, and a 90 promo just for the lulz.

-I dunno, is it awkward making the Streak a handicap match? I didn’t want HHH or Kane again (at least not this year), Cena and Rock are busy, so is Jericho now, and Brock’s not an option....I felt a handicap match with good competitors was the only remaining way to pose a credible threat to the Streak, and Truth and Miz could use the elevation.

-Man, good thing we had a pretty strong undercard. One of the weakest A-show ME’s I’ve put out, but the show’s still a success. ya go my smackdown

NEWSWIRE

-A-1 have grown to Regional size after their relatively phenomenal Seek and Destroy show, where Josh Alexander became the Alpha Male after defeating Sylvan Grenier.

-FCW Just Too Much pulled a solid 51 despite a Mahal/O’Neill main event. Finlay/Abe saved the show.

-FCW Weekly pulled a decent 47 with a tag main event and Mahal/Woods a bit further back.

-NWA did well with a 52.

-Why is FCW running two weekly shows, anyway? This one got 49, with Mark Briscoe/Woods supplying a disappointing ME to follow up an awesome 6-man tag.

-Shelton Benjamin will be on the next NJPW tour.

-Harley Race has left NOAH, where he was head booker. MAYBE I SHOULD APPLY FOR HIS SPOT

-RoH keeps getting better and better. The last show got 79, with a solid 6-man tag and a London/Yang ME.

-Contract renewal negotiations between PWX and their world champ Sabu have broken down.

-The latest CHIKARA show was fairly mediocre at 45, but had a decent Demolition Crew/Spectral Envoy ME.

-Super Crazy’s back has been acting up.
