#127:

Antimatter Gun:
-basic shot: not actually antimatter, but strong and fast. Even destroys some stronger enemies in one hit.
-charge shot: creates a small void which draws in and destroys all enemies in the room.
-explosive variant: causes a room encompassing blast that kills all enemies. Most powerful attack in the game and the only way to harm the final boss.

Other equipment:

Flashlight:
-it is a flashlight.
-doesn't ever run out of juice, defying FPS convention.

Jetpack:
-fairly maneuverable, but only vertically.
-about 10 seconds of flight.
-has an underwater variant which is infinite.

Rocket Booties:
-when activated, instantly provides a massive boost in acceleration.
-used to outrun crumbling structures, run on water, run up walls, etc.
-can be spammed as much as you want, but sort of hard to control. Speedrunners love this item.

The AutoSolve 9000:
-provides hints about the game's puzzles.
-in the spinoff manga, Van combines it with his suit's Combat Analyzer to run simulated battles and determine the optimal strategy against his opponents. However these sims are limited to only what Van's suit already knows or can deduce about his opponents.

The AutoRepair 9000:
-constant regen to the suit at about 1 health per second in-game.
-in the manga, much better, instantly repairing even major damage.
-in the manga, it's the first function of Van's suit to malfunction in nearly all his fights.

The Aimbot 9000:
-the in-game justification for the ability to lock onto enemies.
-in the manga, Van turns it off because he doesn't need it. Because, you know. Fiction.

Vision Enhancer:
-zoom.
-thermal vision.
-limited x-ray vision (mostly a gimmick).
-camera.

Force Generator:
-when activated, creates a dome of "hard light" around Van, repelling enemies and their projectiles but allowing Van to shoot out of it freely.
-stronger enemies and attacks can shatter it, as can repeated weaker attacks.
-very large foes (i.e. certain bosses) can just smash it outright.
-takes about a minute to recharge after being broken.

Stationary Camouflage:
-when standing still, Van becomes effectively invisible.
-if he moves or shoots, the effect ends.
-some enemies and most bosses can still find him through other means.

Scout Drone:
-a piece of the suit that breaks off and can be remotely controlled.
-capable of flight.
-Van sees everything it sees.
-can be transformed into a turret that automatically fires on hostiles.
-mostly used to scout and provide covering fire, though its attacks aren't very strong. (They're still bullets, though, so draw your own conclusions.)

Personality:
-Van is a joker who loves to crack wise during battle.
-he doesn't like killing people, but will if he has to.
-because of his line of work, he knows that looks can be deceiving and anyone can be dangerous.
-he's also seen pretty much everything, from dragons to elder gods, necromancers to androids. In other words, it's hard to surprise him.

In the manga:
-all of his parameters are generally improved.
-all of his weapons are stronger and kill things, even bosses, in a few hits at most. (This is technically possible in the games too, though, if speedruns are anything to go by.) This makes the Antimatter Gun seem weaker by comparison.
-he's also a master of hand-to-hand combat, with an emphasis on holds, locks, and throws.
