Granted I am kinda fuzzy on both V For Vendetta and Anon, but how so? Both like to screw with things for a cause they believe is just.

anon is just a giant group of nerds who screw with things thing for lulz with no actual cohesive set system of belief or goals....

while V is a revolutionary/terrorist anarchist who is fighting to overthrow a fascist government.

V is a man behind a mask with a mission that represents an idea. Anon is a collective that represents different things depending on who you ask that associates themselves with the group.

not to mention the hilarious fact that they are LITERALLY adopting a commercial, copyrighted symbol "lol"

The reason V/Guy Fawkes makes sense is that they both were revolutionary terrorists wishing to overthrow the current leadership due to it's perceived oppression. Anonymous is basically closer to being activists that occasionally use criminal methods than terrorist/revolutionaries.
