I feel professional reviewers are more typically bound by some standards of what's expected from an industry release, where excellent but lower budget games or things a bit outside the mainstream often won't get reviewed fairly, compared to how fans would review it.
Like, they feel a need to compare everything a bit to all the AAA titles, often times. Might as well say "and here we're striking it down 15% because it isn't made by a multi-million dollar studio with hundreds of employees".
Like, when you have a bunch of stuff you factor in and graphics is one of the factors, and you're hating on the best a team of that size and budget could do, it's not really something I'm interested in reading.
