Even in the PSP ones there's plenty of enemies that can break your guard easily. Rolling is usually a lot more effective. And parrying. You don't wanna stand around and guard.
Yeah I meant parrying. You time your guard so that you block the attack and counter. That's most of the gameplay in the PSP ones.
