I have had a couple of pretty good computer-y friends look at this to no effect, but I figure, hey, worth a shot.
My wireless frequently doesn't work. I can connect, but it will give me "No internet access." Quite frequently it will connect to "[network name] 2" for some reason, which usually coincides with when it doesn't work.
-I have a MacBook running Windows 7 through bootcamp. Sometimes Mac OS has better luck than Windows.
-Plugging directly in has worked, but I don't really wanna run a cord down two flights of stairs and across the house.
-We've tried several routers, and none work better.
-I don't have this problem on other networks.
-The windows diagnostic thingy pretty much never helps.
-Disconnecting and reconnecting helps once in a blue moon. Disabling the wireless and re-enabling it also works once in a while.
-Signal is fine.
-The problem will come and go. It will often be down when I leave for work and up when I get back, or vice versa. It does seem to happen in chunks, though. I'll go a month or two with no problems at all, and then a month where it pretty much never works.
-It used to SORTA work a lot of the time, but only give me enough bandwidth to load, like, gamefaqs and that's it.
Any ideas? >_>
