Re: Chain of Memories was only a lot better as far as graphics / sound. A lot of the combat didn't translate quite as well to 3d though. And then there's the sleights they added, which IMO is a mixed bag - it's nice to have some more variety, but some of them were utterly broken. At some points CoM throws some really challenging fights at you. In Re:CoM, once you get enough cards to abuse the better sleights, the remaining battles become a spamfest of whatever your best sleight is.
