My shop doesn't really keep many Showcase in stock because they just take up space. I was talking to the owner last year when the Dazzler Essential second volume came out and he said it outsold every Showcase not Batman or Superman related. It's weird! Their DC sales are fine, and the Chronicles sell well, but no one wants to buy black and white DC comics.
That's a shame. Dr. No's had a full wooden rack (about 6 feet wide, 4 shelves down, both sides) full of nothing but Showcases and similar collections, and they always keep them in stock. It's pretty cool. All the Green Lantern stuff is marked up though, unfortunately. GL in general seems to sell better than anything else here, though, including Batman. Maybe that has something to do with it.
